Five Liverpool players risk being suspended for the next round of the UEFA Champions League should they get booked in the game against PSG tomorrow.

The Reds at PSG will meet at Anfield on Tuesday evening in what promises to be one of the most captivating Champions League last-16 return legs.

Liverpool come into this second leg on the back of a 3-1 win over Southampton which brought them closer to the Premier League title.

PSG were the better side in the first leg, but Liverpool secured a narrow 1-0 win thanks to the heroics of Alisson, who saved almost a dozen shots in France.

Meanwhile, PSG come into this tie on the back of an impressive win over Rennes in Ligue 1.

That was their 13th consecutive away win in all competitions, so there is no denying that they will pose a very difficult challenge to Liverpool on Tuesday night.

That said, ahead of the game, five Liverpool players are at serious risk of missing the return leg at Anfield.

Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson, both expected to start against PSG, are treading a fine line with disciplinary issues.

Each defender has accumulated two yellow cards in this season’s Champions League campaign.

Under UEFA regulations, a third caution would trigger an automatic one-match ban, potentially ruling them out of the next round should Liverpool go through.

Alexis Mac Allister is another player in danger of missing the quarter-final first leg through suspension.

Now sitting on four cautions, Mac Allister faces the prospect of missing the second leg if he gets a fifth booking against PSG.

Virgil van Dijk is also in danger of potentially missing the next round, with the Liverpool captain already booked twice this campaign-one of which came in the first leg.

Harvey Elliott is in a similar predicament to Konate, Van Dijk and Robertson, having collected two yellow cards in the Champions League this season.

However, his situation is slightly less concerning, as he is not currently considered a guaranteed starter in Liverpool’s strongest eleven.
